In what way would the Kiel  Opera House best serve the  people of Saint Louis, MO?

The Opera House should be torn down or gutted for use as a Parking Garage.
The Opera House should be renovated for some other use, such as a museum.
The Opera House should be reopened as a theatre and dinner theatre complex.

st. louis reviews
Looking for somewhere different to eat? Would restaurant reviews by real people who are interested in good food and a real value be of any use? I for one am always in search of a good restaurant and thought I would share my experiences with you. I am not attempting to review every restaurant in town here, only those that I thoroughly enjoy and would highly recommend. This is basically a list of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis. This list will be slowly expanding, roughly in proportion to my waistline. Hopefully I will be able to offer you a nice introduction to dining and some of the best deals in St. Louis. Let stlcity.com know if you try one of these restaurants - both good and bad comments are welcome.

my personal opinion

I keep reading a November 2002 article published by USA TODAY entitled, " Merger will pump up city's stats ". The article is just as relevant today as it was when I first read it. Louisville, Kentucky merged with its county raising Louisville's population from 256,231 residents to 693,604 literally overnight, making it the nation's 16th most populous city.

St. Louis' population estimate in 2001 was 339,211 and St. Louis County had a population estimate of 1,015,417 residents in 2001. If St. Louis and St. Louis County were to merge, St. Louis would become the nation's 6th most populous city according to the U.S. Census statistics provided in the article.

Louisville had to put their merger to a vote three times before it was finally passed... mainly due to concerns from minority voters, the police union, volunteer fire departments and small-city mayors. I can only imagine the problems would be even more a concern in St. Louis City/County with a larger population and many more municipalities than Louisville/Jefferson County. Not sure if this would ever occur in my lifetime, or even if it has even been seriously looked at, but it is something to think about.
