Construction on The Bottle District is now officially underway. The construction schedule reflects the development's grand opening in 2007. "This groundbreaking is another important event that is rapidly propelling this project forward," said Dan McGuire, CEO of BDP, LLC, the developer of The Bottle District. "It marks the start of a thrilling development schedule. As The Bottle District begins to take shape, city residents and visitors will witness and feel the excitement and anticipation of the 2007 grand opening." Also in attendance were tenant owners or representatives and officials from Clayco, which will serve as construction managers. Royal Banks of Missouri, which has partnered with BDP, LLC to fund property acquisition and provide preconstruction financing for The Bottle District, also attended the groundbreaking. Sitting on 18 acres and seven and a half city blocks, The Bottle District is located across the street from the Edward Jones Dome (NFL), St. Louis Convention Center, and a short walk from the Arch. The development also includes 700 condominiums and ample surface and sub- surface parking. "This groundbreaking is a time to acknowledge the successes to date of a great team of developers and supporters," said McGuire.
