Copia Restaurant Brings Spirit of the Vineyards to St. LouisCopia Will Age Wine On-site to Complement Progressive American Menu St. Louis -- September 28, 2005 -- Copia Urban Winery continues the revitalization of downtown St. Louis' hot dining district by introducing its "urban winery" concept on October 13, 2005. Along with partner Les Bourgeois winery, Copia will create house wines that will be aged on-site in stainless steel vats in Copia's wine aging room. "Once our wine has aged, we will be able to serve wine directly from the vats -- we will truly be an unique addition to the St. Louis dining scene," states Angie Bustos, the general manager at Copia. In addition to its main dining room, Copia's stunning 10,000 square-foot restaurant space includes a spectacular hideaway courtyard patio with seating for 200 guests, a wine cellar, an intimate private dining room, an indoor bar, and a banquet room for private events. Copia also houses a retail wine shop with over 280 wines, high-end wine accessories, and gourmet food items. The restaurant features traditional American cuisine with a progressive touch. The menu was created by chef Dave Rook, who previously directed the culinary staff at both Crazy Fish and Aqua Vin restaurants in Chesterfield. The dinner menu offers delicious selections including seafood, pastas, steaks, pork, duck, gourmet pizzas, appetizers, salads and soups. The lunch menu includes salads, soups, sandwiches and gourmet pizzas.
Copia Urban Winery is located at 1122 Washington Avenue. The restaurant will be open Monday-Saturday from 11AM-11PM; the bar
will remain open until 1AM. The retail wine shop will be open Monday-Saturday from 9AM-11PM. For more information please
