If a certain topics interest you, I would encourage you to do a
little more research on those topics. When possible, I will link
to other resources so you can gain a more complete understanding
of that topic. An excellent source for major renovation projects is the
"Development Activity"
section of the Community Information Network's web site. All of their linked projects have
funding in place and most are already underway or nearing completion.

St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Stadium
St. Louis Cardinals officials, civic leaders, Cardinals broadcaster Jack Buck and his fellow Hall of Famer, retired outfielder Lou Brock are all supportive of tax breaks for a new ballpark. The Cardinals pledge to provide $100 million toward the stadium's construction plus donation of the land upon which it would be built and if they get a public subsidy for a new ballpark, the team will pay for construction overruns, cover the upkeep, protect the schools and spark a downtown construction boom. A new ballpark and Ballpark Village development would almost triple what Busch Stadium pumps into the economy. The Ballpark Village would include an aquarium, a baseball museum with about 15,000 square feet of space (triple that of the International Bowling Museum and Cardinal Hall of Fame), a 20-story apartment building, 3 mid-rise buildings, a landscaped outdoor plaza, shops, restaurants, and a A two-level, underground parking garage. If construction for the new ball park can begin by the summer of 2002, Major League Baseball's All-Star Game would be played in St. Louis in 2006, but only if the city has a new stadium. The All-Star Game is expected to bring $100 million in revenue to St. Louis.
